Expat Coffee Morning

Are you an expat living in Uppsala? Do you want to get to know some locals?
Join us for this coffee morning where we bring together local Swedes from Uppsala and the international community. This is an informal event where you can meet new people, enjoy interesting conversations, drink tea and coffee, and eat buns - not a bad way to spend your morning!

Starting a business lecture series (part 4)
Drivhuset is hosting a four part online lecture series on starting a business in Sweden. In part four, the focus will be on 'how to sell, pitch, and market'. The series will also feature a number of topics including creating ideas, developing ideas, and developing a business.
Guided tour of Uppsala’s historical district

Location: Begins outside Uppsala cathedral
In this guided city tour, led by John Ringh, Project Manager of Destination Uppsala, you'll learn information about the different historical buildings in town, famous people and also how Uppsala has developed in the last 100 years.
Choral Evensong in English
Join the Swedish church for the choir in English. In this event, the church choir will sing composed responses, canticles, one or more psalms, choral anthem, and a congregational hymn.
Understanding the Swedish School System

Want to know more about the Swedish School System? Need some help choosing the right school or curriculum for your child?
Join us for this webinar where we welcome two representatives from the state owned international schools in Uppsala. During this session, you will meet Anna Jones, Assistant Principal at Kvärngardet School, and Björn Swartling, International Baccalaureate Program Director at Katedralskolan. Topics that will be covered in the presentation include:
- An overview of the Swedish school system
- A discussion about language requirements for different curricula
- Information about local international schools in Uppsala
After the presentation, there will be time for participants to ask questions.

Practice Swedish: The Language Table
Practice Swedish with us.
Learn about Swedish culture and tell us about your own. We talk about everything between heaven and earth.
You need to have basic knowledge of Swedish and a desire to improve your language.
Participation is free and no registration is required. The library is located at Svartbäcksgatan 17.

Drömarbetsstaden Job Festival
Uppsala International Hub are participating in Drömarbetsstaden Job Festival - an event that aims to help job seekers connect with employers in the Uppsala region!
With lectures, mingling, and a lot of concrete tips to take home, this is the day for everyone who wants to live and work in Sweden's most expansive region.
The event starts at 10 and will be held at Studenternas. Attendance is free, but pre-registration is required. You can see more information on the link provided.
Job Search Workshop
Achieving new employment depends on how well candidates are able to conduct a job search. This workshop aims to help participants learn more about applying for jobs, and seeks their participation to share useful information and network with new peers.
Suggested programme Content (to be tailored to participants' needs)
- Setting a job search objective
- Improving CV and Cover letter presentation
- Interviewing skills – both online and in person
- LinkedIn and online presence
- Understanding today’s job market and where to find new roles
- Creating a personal action plan
Requirements
This workshop will be held in English. As we will work collaboratively, all participants are required to bring at least one of the following documents: cv/resumé, cover letter, Linkedin (or similar) profile. We recommend bringing a laptop computer but it is not required.
Join us for this interactive workshop where you can receive feedback from the program facilitator and peers to gain in confidence, clarity, and improve application materials.

Finding a path to the job market with Jobbsprånget

The purpose of the program with Jobbsprånget is to speed up entry to work life in Sweden. In this webinar, you will meet Laras Piniji and Rachna Sharma from Jobbsprånget, Sweden’s largest internship programme for newcomers and foreign academics.
Jobbsprånget is a 4-month advanced internship programme in close cooperation with Arbetsförmedlingen and is partially financed by the Swedish government.
Seven out of 10 participants get a job after internship!

Student Entrepreneur of the Year
A warm welcome to Student Entrepreneur of the Year!
The greenhouse is passionate about helping ambitious students enable their business ideas and follow their dreams. We have therefore chosen to pay attention to Uppsala's driven student entrepreneurs by creating the Student Entrepreneur of the Year award.
The event will be arranged at the Humanistic Theater in Uppsala. There will be space for mingling and snacks in addition.

Art Night at Uppsala Konstmuseum
Art Night is the museum's theme evening which is arranged every Thursday. The museum is open until 8 p.m., the bar until 9 p.m. Free entrance. Open screenings, creative creation, music and bar menu. Every week there is a special program that includes everything from concerts, lectures and panel discussions to poetry readings, dance and performance. Come early or stay late, or preferably both.
